What the solution offers

Window tinting for a more comfortable room

Does afternoon sun make your living room uncomfortable or your computer screen hard to read? Solar control window film helps reduce the heat and glare coming through the glass. AknaOnu offers window film installation for homes and offices in Tallinn and Harjumaa. We match the film to your glazing, window orientation and daylight needs. The aim is a more comfortable space, not simply a darker window. Send a photo and tell us when sunlight causes the most trouble.

  • Reduce overheating caused by sunlight
  • Reduce glare on screens
  • Choose light transmission and appearance for the room
  • Install on existing windows where the glass is suitable
Where it works

Keep your view. Make the space easier to use.

House and apartment windows

South- and west-facing rooms can become uncomfortable in afternoon sun. We consider heat, daylight and the view when choosing the film. Compatible existing glass can receive film without replacing the whole window.

Office windows and large glazed areas

A desk beside a window needs useful daylight without distracting screen reflections. We consider desk positions, the appearance of the façade and access to each pane. Different sides of a building may need different film specifications.

Solar window film installation cost

Window tinting cost depends on the dimensions and number of panes, the selected solar film and installation conditions. Removing old film, access requirements and interior versus exterior fitting also affect the quote. We specify the material and agreed installation work so you can see what is included. To start, send the approximate width and height of each pane, photos and the property address. Final measurements and glass compatibility are confirmed before ordering the material.

Frequently asked questions

Film reduces incoming solar heat but does not replace ventilation or cooling. Results depend on the glazing, film, orientation and room conditions. We do not promise a fixed temperature reduction.

Not necessarily. Films differ in light transmission, tint and reflectivity. We clarify how much daylight you want to retain before choosing a film.

Not every film is suitable for every pane. The glass type, existing coatings and manufacturer compatibility requirements must be checked, including thermal-stress risk.

Reflective film does not provide privacy in every lighting condition. People may see inside when the room is brighter than outdoors. Privacy needs should be discussed separately.

That depends on the glazing and the intended use of the selected film. Interior and exterior films are not interchangeable. We check compatibility and, for exterior installation, access and working conditions.

Start with the main concern: heat, glare or views into the room. We compare the selected material's solar performance, visible light transmission and reflectivity. Darkness alone does not describe its heat-control performance.

It does not seal air leaks around the frame. If your window lets in a draught or will not close properly, its seals and adjustment need a separate check.
